Yikes - It's Wednesday Already

Hi - this is Erin posting today.

Amy is getting ready for her first Spring Craft Show(at 1996 Hawk Blvd, Chesapeake, VA ) this Saturday, March 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. I am recovering from the flu - so needless to say we both have been occupied. Since Amy is busy getting her stuff ready - I get to blog. Just so there is no misunderstanding I have not been in my craft room for a week so my beads and my jewelry should be germ free.

We decided it would be a great time to talk about one of my favorite obsessions - lampwork beads. I love wearing them, touching them, and making beautiful jewelry with them. I know myself well enough that this is one art form I should not learn as it will completely take over my life. I am in awe of the amazing work others can do and while I can appreciate the absolute thrill of making these molten art gems - I also love the hunt of finding the beads. Here are a few of my favorite Etsy Lampwork Bead Sellers and what I have made with their beads -

The first is a watch and necklace set made from beads Wild Sage Lampwork.com, known on Etsy as MyCabinCreations (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=91518). The blue lampwork beads in the posting of "Unable to Let Go" were also made by MyCabinCreatons.

Next are two items that are still for sale on our site. These lampwork beads were made by Mixed Media Jewelry (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5102635):

I have several other things I've made for myself and friends but my picture taking "mojo" is out of sync today - watch for part 2 of this post, these artist will be featured -

Riot Designs by Jennifer Wood (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=82770).

Beau Ideal lampwok by Candace Eckhoff (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=21400).
